Wilson Chandler scored 23 points as the Denver Nuggets claimed a 119-108 victory to heap more misery on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Chandler, in the side as Danilo Gallinari had a thigh injury, received support from Ty Lawson, who added 22 points, while Andre Iguodala had 14 points and 12 assists.

The Nuggets recorded their ninth straight home win as a sluggish Lakers outfit could not handle the pace despite 29 points from star player Kobe Bryant.

Elsewhere in the NBA, Paul Pierce poured in 26 points to lift the Boston Celtics to a 110-107 overtime win over the Utah Jazz.

Pierce came up big in the extra session, scoring seven straight points to tip the contest in Boston's favour. Avery Bradley added a total of 18 points for the Celtics, while Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 26.

The Washington Wizards beat the Toronto Raptors 90-84 to claim their third straight win, DeMar DeRozan socring 25 points in a losing effort for the hosts at Air Canada Centre.

Al Horford had 23 points and 22 rebounds in the Atlanta Hawks' 114-103 win over the Detroit Pistons. Atlanta's Jeff Teague also notched a double-double of 20 points and 12 assists.
