Six players passed double figures as the Lakers enjoyed their first victory on the road this season, with a 115-89 triumph over the Dallas Mavericks.

Kobe Bryant and Metta World Peace contributed 19 points each while Dwight Howard added 15 with five steals.

The Los Angeles visitors had arrived in Texas on the back of four straight defeats away from their Californian home.

Antawn Jamison grabbed 15 rebounds for the Lakers who out-rebounded the Mavericks 61-39.

The hosts are now in a downward slide having started the season by winning four of their first five matches.

However, they have now lost six from nine and Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle said: "They played a great game and we were really poor.

"I credit them, we all own this one and they are physically stronger than us."

Elsewhere, Byron Mullens bagged 27 points and Ramon Sessions added 20 as Charlotte's Bobcats edged out Washington Wizards 108-106 in double-overtime.

Washington fell to 0-11 despite 21 points from Martel Webster and 19 by Nene.
