New Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles is already relishing a trip to London this autumn as he arrived in Florida fresh from the NFL Draft in New York.
The Jags sprung something of a shock on the first round of the Draft, not necessarily by taking a quarterback but by plumping for Bortles ahead of the more fancied Johnny Manziel.
Bortles will go straight into a quarterback competition with Chad Henne, although the team have already said they will not rush their first pick into the starting line-up.
General manager Dave Caldwell is trying to build a strong future for the Jags, and also added a pair of wide receivers in the second and third rounds meaning Bortles will have weapons to throw to once he does get under centre as expected.
Bortles wasted no time in heading to Jacksonville to join his new team, and already he voiced his excitement at heading to Wembley this year as the Jags continue to play one game a season in London.
"I've never been to London but definitely that's a bucket-list thing," said Bortles.
"I've always wanted to go to London and can't wait to go, especially (when) you can go and play football in London.
"It's an unbelievable experience, a once in a lifetime type of thing and I'm excited to go do it."
He added: "I think it's awesome to have more people be able to watch it now and then really (it) just broadens the audience everywhere and exposes everybody to American football, (which) is awesome."
