The Seattle Seahawks will open the defence of their Super Bowl crown with a mouth-watering Thursday night clash against the Green Bay Packers.

The September 4 match-up is one of four prime-time games on the opening weekend which also sees Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning take on his former team, the Indianapolis Colts.

There is also a Monday night double-header with the New York Giants travelling to the Detroit Lions and the Arizona Cardinals hosting the San Diego Chargers.

The NFL will play three games in London for the first time, starting with the Miami Dolphins against the Oakland Raiders on September 28 as part of week four.

October 26 sees the Detroit Lions take on the Atlanta Falcons with that game kicking off at 1:30 local time as the NFL tests the audience pull of a morning game - it will start at 9:30am on the east coast of the United States and 6:30am on the west.

The final Wembley game features the Dallas Cowboys and the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 9.

The traditional Thanksgiving triple-header features three strong division rivalries: Chicago at Detroit, Philadelphia at Dallas, and Seattle at San Francisco, a rematch of the memorable NFC title game last January.

The final game of that trio will take place in the 49ers new stadium in Santa Clara, which opens in week two with a clash against the Chicago Bears.

Among the other schedule highlights are a week three repeat of last season's Super Bowl between Seattle and Denver and a week nine meeting for old rivals Manning and Tom Brady when the Broncos face the New England Patriots.
