Colin Kaepernick: Threw two touchdown passes for the 49ers
San Francisco 49ers scored five touchdowns as they recorded a 35-11 victory over the St Louis Rams.
Colin Kaepernick completed 15-of-23 passes for 167 yards with the 49ers quarterback throwing two touchdown passes.
Having trailed to a 40-yard field goal in the first quarter from Greg Zuerlein, the 49ers never looked back after Kaepernick connected with Anquan Boldin with a 20-yard touchdown pass.
Frank Gore, who rushed for a total of 153 yards from 20 carries, doubled San Francisco's tally with a 34-yard run. Before half-time.
Kaepernick's 12-yard TD pass to Vernon Davis in the third quarter moved the 49ers 21-3 clear, while the game was over as a contest as Anthony Dixon rushed over from a yard after the ball was stripped free.
Rams quarterback Sam Bradford endured a difficult time as he was sacked five times - twice by Navarro Bowman - and intercepted once.
Bradford, who threw for 202 yards, did connect with Lance Kendricks with a six-yard pass, though, to offer the Rams (1-3) some consolation.
However the 49ers (2-2) had the final word with Kendall Hunter scoring after a 29-yard run.
