The Pittsburgh Steelers slumped to 0-3 for the first time since 1986 as they lost 40-23 to the Chicago Bears.

Ben Roethlisberger was intercepted twice while the Bears defense forced five Pittsburgh turnovers to see the Chicago remain unbeaten.

Robbie Gould's field goal got the Bears off to a flying start, while Matt Forte rushed over from five yards and Michael Bush's one-yard touchdown run saw Chicago 17-0 up at the end of the first quarter.

Shaun Suisham finally opened Pittsburgh account with a 27-yard field goal, only for Major Wright to return a Roethlisberger interception 38 yards for a touchdown.

Roethlisberger made some amends with a 33-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Brown to cut the deficit to 24-10.

Gould's second field goal moved the Bears 17-points clear but the Steelers threatened to upset the odds as they fought back.

Field goals from Suisham sandwiched Roethlisberger's 21-yard TD pass to Brown to give the Steelers hope.

However fourth-quarter touchdowns from Earl Bennett and Julius Peppers put the result beyond doubt for the Bears.

Jay Cutler completed 20-of-30 passes for 159 yards for Chicago, while opposite number Roethlisberger threw for 406 yards in a losing cause.
