Doug Martin: Scored twice for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rookie Doug Martin crossed for two touchdowns as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers racked up a 36-17 victory over the Minnesota Vikings.
Martin's two scores couldn't have been more different as he ran 64 yards for the first and then muscled his way over from a yard.
"I just wanted to come out and play Buc football, adequately run the ball," said Martin, who went for 214 yards.
"The blockers did a nice job opening up some holes. We were being more physical. I just did my job. I might feel tired tomorrow or the next day."
Erik Lorig and Mike Williams also picked up touchdowns as Tampa Bay moved to 3-4 for the season.
Quarterback Josh Freeman threw three touchdown passes and went 19 for 36 for 262 yards.
Opposite number Christian Ponder finished with 19 for 35 for 251 yards, one touchdown and a late interception.
Ponder connected with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Percy Harvin, while Adrian Peterson had a season-long 64-yard run for a score.
However the Bucs, who held the ball for nearly 38 of the 60 minutes, dominated in defence with three sacks.
