Russell Wilson threw a dramatic late touchdown as the Seattle Seahawks secured a 24-23 win over the New England Patriots at CenturyLink Field.

Wilson found Sidney Rice behind the secondary for a 46-yard score with 1:18 remaining as the Seahawks scored 14 points in the final 7:31 to stun the visitors.

New England (3-3) did have a 13-point lead heading into the closing stages of the clash between Seattle's number one defence and the Patriots top-ranked offense, but Wilson rallied for two touchdowns.

Wilson hit Braylon Edwards on fourth down for a 10-yard touchdown to get the Seahawks within six points before finding Rice for a stunning score, with Steven Hauschka's extra point gave Seattle (4-2) the win.

Wilson finished with 293 passing yards and three touchdowns, while opposing quarterback Tom Brady threw 395 yards and two touchdowns, but was also picked off twice.

Seattle gained 158 yards and scored 10 points in the first quarter as Doug Baldwin caught a touchdown pass from Wilson and Hauschka kicked a field goal.

Wes Welker, who would finish with over 100 receiving yards for the fourth straight game, caught a score from Brady in the opening quarter before New England took control in the second and third periods.

Aaron Hernandez hauled in a one-yard touchdown pass from Brady and Stephen Gostowski kicked two field goals to make it 20-10 to the visitors at the start of the final period.

Gostowski kicked another three-pointer at the start of the fourth quarter to extend the lead further before Wilson and the Seahawks sent the crowd into a frenzy with their comeback.
