Michael Vick: sidelined by double rib fracture for at least another week
The Philadelphia Eagles must again do without Michael Vick for Thursday's trip to the Seattle Seahawks.
Quarterback Vick is still recovering from the double rib fracture he suffered against the Arizona Cardinals on November 20, meaning Vince Young will continue to deputise under centre.
The Eagles, who at 4-7 must win to retain any realistic hope of reaching the post-season, have several other injury concerns.
Wide receiver Jeremy Maclin (hamstring) and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (ankle) are definitely out, while running back LeSean McCoy (toe) and cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha (knee) are both questionable.
A 38-20 defeat at home to the New England Patriots last Sunday has put Philadelphia head coach Andy Reid, in his 13th year are head coach, firmly on the hot seat.
Despite Reid being the most successful head coach in franchise history, the unforgiving fans at Lincoln Financial Field were calling for his head long before the end of the Patriots debacle.
The Seahawks also have a 4-7 record and have just placed wide receiver Sidney Rice on season-ending injured reserve after his second concussion in three weeks.
With the 9-2 San Francisco 49ers already out of sight in the NFC West, the Seahawks probably need to run the table in the final five games of the regular-season to have any chance of a wild-card. Even that might not be enough.
Seattle are aiming to avoid back-to-back defeats in front of their own fans at CenturyLink Field after going down 23-17 to the Washington Redskins in week 12.
