Ever thought you'd look good in stripes? Here's your chance as the NFL and BAFRA are offering an introduction to American football refereeing in a special one-day Officials Academy.

The event will take place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday October 26, the eve of the International Series game between the San Francisco 49ers and Jacksonville Jaguars.

With participation in American football in the UK booming, the British American Football Referees Association is looking to increase its 107 game officials in order to be able to cover as many as 22 games per weekend.

The Officials Academy at Wembley will be run by officials from the NFL and will introduce potential new referees to the role and give them the chance to follow up by shadowing officials during the British University League season.

If follow-up training goes well, newcomers could even be ready to take the field when the new BAFA National League begins in the spring.

Full details of the Officials Academy are still to be confirmed but to register your interest in the event and to receive further information, Click Here to sign up.
