Sky Sports understands Fulham midfielder Ashkan Dejagah is in talks with Qatari club Al Arabi over a possible move.

Dejagah was one of Fulham's shining lights last season despite their relegation from the Premier League and was named the club's Player of the Year.

Fulham are resigned to losing Dejagah as a result of their tumble into the Championship and a number of clubs are thought to have expressed an interest in signing the 28-year-old.

However, Al Arabi are in pole position to land the Iran international, with Dejagah currently in talks with the side managed by former Chelsea and Southampton defender Dan Petrescu.

Al Arabi are ready to offer Dejagh a four-year deal to make the move and they remain in discussions with Fulham as they look to thrash out a fee for the former Wolfsburg man.
