All the key events as the tournament hots up

Sky Sports takes a look at all the drama and key incidents, on and off the pitch, on day ten of the World Cup. Pass of the day: Portugal walloped North Korea 7-0 in the day's 12.30pm kick-off at a rain-soaked Green Point Stadium - but it was Tiago's beautifully-weighted and pinpoint pass which unlocked a resilient defence and got the ball rolling for Carlos Queiroz's classy troops. Jose Raul Meireles' run was timed to perfection but it needed an inch-perfect pass to ensure he didn't have to break his stride before dispatching a clinical right-footed strike past the hapless - and tracky-bottom wearing - North Korea keeper Ry Myong-guk. Crowd shot of the day: After Tiago scored Portugal's third goal in a seven-minute second-half burst to make it 4-0, the camera cut to three North Korea fans - wearing ponchos of the style normally seen in an Alton Towers queue for the logflume - looking completely dazed and confused. Brilliant. Move of the day: Portugal really got into their stride after the break against the North Koreans and played some scintillating football. But the pick of their four goals was Sabrosa Simao's 53rd-minute effort. Hugo Almeida and Meireles combined brilliantly on the edge of the penalty box, with their one-touch interplay setting up Simao who put the icing on the cake with a classy finish under the body of Guk. Shot of the day: Cristiano Ronaldo got on the scoresheet in Portugal's romp, taking advantage of a huge slice of luck which saw a ricochet bounce off the back of his head and neck as he beat the North Korea keeper, leaving him the simple task of tapping into an empty net. But it was a deserved wink from Lady Luck as minutes earlier he had gone on a trademark run down the left flank before cutting inside the defender and unleashing a right-footed 30-yard piledriver which beat the keeper all ends up and rattled the crossbar, which is probably still shaking now. Team of the Day: You cannot deny that the entertainment factor in the World Cup has stepped up a notch over the past seven days. After a cagey opening, the tournament (England aside) has sprung into life - and one of the factors behind that has been Chile. It's always nice to have an 'adopted nation' in the finals (Scotland fans have been doing this for years, after all!) and the hot Chileans are drawing many admirers. Their gung-ho style has been great to watch and their final group game against Spain later in the week promises more to be like a basketball game than a football game! Goal of the Day: David Villa's opener in Spain's win over Honduras was certainly one to behold and one which will make Barcelona fans sit up and pay attention. Villa, who has an agreement already in place to sign for the double Spanish champions, jinked through two Honduran tackles, before cutting inside a third and unleashing a curling effort which flew into the top corner. If this doesn't make the top three goals of the tournament, then, well the term 'sun doesn't shine' and 'vuvuzelas' springs painfully to mind!
