WILLIAM CARVALHO: The Portuguese powerhouse is a much-wanted commodity across Europe, but the £37.5m price may prove too much despite his obvious talents.

Sporting Lisbon midfielder William Carvalho insists he is not considering an exit from the club, despite strong links with both Manchester United and Arsenal.

Carvalho is reported to have a £37million release clause in his contract but recent reports have suggested Sporting would be willing to entertain offers in the region of £20m.

The 22-year-old, who has six senior caps for Portugal, has been linked with a Premier League switch throughout the summer, although Sporting previously claimed no bids had been received.

Carvalho has another four years remaining on his current contract with the Portuguese giants and says he is content to stay at the club where he started his career.

"I have a deal with Sporting and I am a player of Sporting," he said.
