Ghana midfielder Anthony Annan hopes to put himself in the shop window at this year¿s World Cup.

Rosenborg midfielder looking to convince he's worth transfer fee

Anthony Annan's agent is hoping the Rosenborg midfielder can put himself in the shop window at this year's World Cup. The 23-year-old has attracted interest from elsewhere having been one of the best players in the Norwegian Tippeligaen this season. He played 12 league games before linking up with the Ghana squad to travel to the World Cup, helping Rosenborg establish themselves at the top of the table, but he is now looking to test himself in one of Europe's top leagues. Annan, who has played in both Ghana's first two group games in South Africa, is out of contract at the end of next season. The Norwegian champions are keen to get a decent fee for one of their prize assets but Annan's agent, Lars Petter Fosdahl, believes an impressive showing this summer could convince one of Europe's bigger clubs to meet Rosenborg's demands. "There are enquiries but nothing serious," Fosdahl told Adresseavisen. "Considering his ambitions and price-tag, there are not many clubs in Europe who might be interested. A good World Cup is required."
