Germany head coach Joachim Low insists they do not fear Argentina and are brimming with self-confidence heading into the World Cup final.
Just over 24 hours ahead of football's pinnacle, the German boss admitted their opponents are stronger than they have been in previous tournaments and that Lionel Messi is not their only threat.
But Low, 54, was unwavering in his belief that Germany will clinch their fourth World Cup and first since they beat Argentina at Italia ’90, should they play to their full potential.

"I have no fear of Argentina whatsoever," he said. "We think we can tap into our potential and, if we impose our game, we will win.
"In this tournament Argentina have shown great performances, stronger in defence than 2010. Their team is not only about Messi, and that would be a mistake [to think so]. Of course, he can decide a match, but they are much more organised.
"But regardless of what happens, it's about winning. We know we can write history. The two teams are going to face off at the same level but I think we have the necessary self-confidence after the last matches."
Germany have been lauded for their efficient, ruthless, yet handsome brand of football during the tournament - fully realised by the 7-1 destruction of hosts Brazil in the semi-final.
The European nation are the favourites to clinch the trophy on Sunday but Low believes his current team will succeed long into the future, even if they are beaten.
"If we lose, nothing will crumble. This team has a future," Low said.
"I don't think any previous world champion has played well through the entire competition. That hasn't happened yet.
"For me, it's not the highest challenge I've had. I've had other challenges before, such as every knock-out match. You know you have to win big matches to get there too."
